Scientific Extrusion™ is a data-driven systematic approach for running an extrusion process. The method is based on scientific principles which enable extrusion manufactures to produce high quality product consistently and effectively every time.

One of the biggest challenge for processors is inconsistency in polymer quality. However, very few of them invest in equipment to test the polymer to understand its thermal characteristics and flow behavior.

In this session, we will demonstrate the key process parameters, what equipment is needed to test the material, how to generate the graphs and analyze the data, and how to use the data to define the process. There is a misperception that this process takes too much time, however, we will show how to complete all tests in just a few hours.

Yes, it is possible to implement a Scientific Extrusion™ process that transforms extrusion from art to science. It is time for the extrusion industry to take the leap and shadow the path of the injection molders.
